Can I use my family information?
 

Please give your opinion if I can create a stealth account using my spouse information,his ssn and attach to my bank account?All his information are different from my suspended account. . I can create a joint account but I don't want because he still own money for his child support. I'm afraid the bank could garnish the money from a joint account. I'm not sure if money could be garnished from paypal or not.

It is forum common opinion not to involve parents, friends and relatives in creating a new stealth account.

Things can work perfectly with a made-up alias and if anything goes wrong (for the account or in real life....) no-one got hurt. :thumb:

It's a bad idea to use a family member's info regardless, but with your husband having wage garnishments it's an even worse idea. You would need to transfer money from Paypal to your bank account at some point.

You'd be better off opening a paypal in his name, and a bank in your name. But even that I don't recommend because you would be creating a tax liability for your husband, who evidently already has financial problems.

There are pros and cons to using family/friends details. But avoid, especially in your case.

If I get my mother in law to create ebay n paypal with totally not same home address, bank account, card account, email, etc...

Is it safe to use ??

I was seriously , I created my mother in law already. Why can't do this ? All detail are totally not same. ebay will get detect it ??

It's not really the issue of eb detecting it...it's the issue of using someone else's info...does your mother-in-law know about this? What happens if her info gets banned - will she be ok with that? More questions along the same lines...

Stealth allows for use of non-existent names so real ppl aren't tied up on eb/pp

Yes , she know it. She was never mind if get banned from ebay. because she was totally don't know online.

Sorry but I can only advise not going through with this. Worst case you could end up with getting lawsuits after you or even worse your mother in law and nobody wants that... :noidea:

I am being serious because you are playing with someone else's REAL information.

At the end of the day...advice has been given by a lot of knowledgeable people (see above posts) so it's your decision to go ahead with your plan.

I, myself, never use family or friend info - I don't care if they know or not about online...I just do not need to use other people's info.

From your previous posts I get the sense you seem to do whatever you want to do, even if the whole world says dont do it. So let me just wish you all the luck in using someone else's information, be it with or without their authorisation.

Unlike the other opinions, I would use your spouses info. I am assuming he is aware of your plan. If not, then he should be prior to making the account. You can easily add your bank account as long as it has not been used for paypal before. Paypal is not a financial institution and will not be subject to garnishments unless you make the garnishee aware of the paypal account. Even then, I am unsure if they would be able to attach a garnishment. Aside from making him aware of this, you should also be careful of what you sell. If you are selling phakes or something that could cause him legal trouble then I would not make an account in his name/information.

Pretty much sums it up!

Though with spouse, let me just put it in the air... if you get their account suspended, and they decide one day they want to get on ebay.... there will be a lot of repetitive finger pointing... for as long as they remain your spouse. ;)

No, she was agreed. Just I don't really understand why can't use family/ relative/or friend account , although their info all are totally not same ??

even I change IP address, ebay or paypal still can detect it ??
