Do any of you use the "promoted ads" feature?

I was looking into this a bit...it seems the higher percentage of profit you provide ebay with the more visibility your product gets in search results? Correct me if I am wrong..anyone have much experience with this?

Man why does ebay hate Canada... the Canadian ebay site is so ****ty not enough features and now again this promoting feature isn't available in Canada...

I tried promoted listings back when the feature was brand new, and it straight up killed my sales. I chose to give Ebay the smallest percentage of the sale when I set mine up, and I swear my listings moved DOWN the list when they became "promoted".

Canada does lack quite a few features :( I think they are stingier with limit increases too...
