I'm I Screwed? (Unique Situation?)
 

First off i want to thank the community, been a long time lurker and have learned alot from you guys! Now i'm not by any means a noob when it comes to eBay stealth but i have run into a unique situation and would like the advise of the forums.

I opened a new eBay and Paypal account on Friday. I have already used my SSN long time ago and got restricted for selling VERO items. I used my brothers info, EVERYTHING is in his name. After verifying mobile, bank and email i decided that it was time to add my brothers SSN. I was distracted and accidentally added my SSN that was limited. But with that being said i just added it and within 5 mins realized what i had done and edited the SSN to my brothers. When i tried to confirm my brothers SSN, i got the message "We can't confirm you SSN blah blah"

His SSN is added but it says that i can edit it at anytime.

Do you think that they linked my old account with this one?

Even after that i signed up to eBay and they gave me a 1,000/25,000 account. I have listed 10 used Playstation games yesterday and so far everything is going good. (I know the forums warn against this but i have had over 50 accounts and Never had a problem) all auctions with start price .99 cents.

Also, as soon as i posted all the auctions they immediately became indexed, no 12 hour wait time.

So the big question, what should i do? If the SSN cannot confirm will we get limited? Do they think they caught the first SSN? Delete the SSN?

My brother has no credit history so maybe that is why they couldn't verify?

Don't expect help if you do things different from what the forum recommends. It's like asking for medication for the wrong illness... Always follow the stealth way and do not involved family members, you will have peace of mind if you follow this...

The verification came from verifying bank, debit card and SSN to up the withdraw limit. Now i know that you don't have to add a SSN just a card and bank account but i figured that if i also add and confirm it would the account that much stronger.

I do follow the stealth on 99% of my accounts, this one is unique though. Thanks for your constructive criticism Empire.

That is what i am going to do in the future and have done in the past. Just wanted some insight about this account.

Not to mention the ssn number must match the the name used for . cant use bills number for george stealth pp

After you joined in 2008, the entire game changed.

Because paypal wanted ID to work with the IRS tax requirements, the general view of the forum changed to not using info of family, especially SSN.


You should grasp these changes or risk losing accounts.

Forget ever using your SSN again. Set up stealth accounts and, when needed, learn about EIN and use that concept to your benefit.

You have made a mess of your real SSN info.
