Ebay partner network on stealth account
 

I got an call yesterday from Ebay. I was terrified at first, because they called me through a google voice number and I know the rep heard the recorded intro that all google voice numbers have. But it didn't cause any problems, luckily.

It turns out she was just calling to invite me to use EPN.

Does anyone have experience using EPN on a stealth account? Is it even possible with stealth details? The account this has been proposed for is a business account with 8k+ feedback and over 25k sales. It would be detrimental if I misstep and screw up this acct. But the opportunity to offset up to 100% of my seller fees is very tempting.

If anyone has experience using this program on a stealth account, please share. Thanks in advance to anyone with insight.

hmm... I dont know where you got the 'opportunity to offset up to 100% of my seller fees', unless your really going ham.

I was on this partner network, but back when I registered, any tom dick and harry could sign up, not sure if its changed.

Your basically going to get a small % of the basket value of each person that clicks through your link to shop on ebay. Doesn't even necessarily have to be your items, could be competitors etc.

I had the link up as a banner on my website, it wasn't make sooo much money, but wasn't too shabby either. I havn't used it for a few years though.

Depends how you wish to tackle it, sending/sharing links to customers, or setup a banner which will show items recently viewed by that person. The latter only applies if you actually have a website as well.

I used a genuine ebay account to set this up. If am correct in saying you dont need to be a big seller to partake in this programme, experiment with a smaller account first. I dont see how it would make any difference.

I got the 100% figure from Ebay's email.

I know it would take a ton of work to actually offset all of my fees. I already send business cards with most of my orders so I could simply link to a website on the card rather than linking to my Ebay store.

Anyway I'm relatively familiar with how it works, I was basically just wondering if it would be safe to pursue. I've never heard anything about it on any of my other accounts but I will see if they let me apply on a small account before giving it a go on the big boy.
