Swapped laptops imported cookies all is well till
 

Ok got a new laptop i imported cookies from old one to new one . All is well the new one when loggin in has my user id already in the box i just put in password and works fine .. BUT when i try to revise a listing a get the looks like your logging in from a different computer please verify its you . we will call or text . problem is phone linked is dead .. what am i doing wrong to get this request ? i have another account that is stuck on 5/500 so i tried the same thing with it i listed an item waited till next day then hit revise same thing confirm its you ..
what is causing this ? i can log back it using old laptop and it removes the request . i havnt tried revising anything on old laptop till i get a new number loaded in

Are you using the same IP address on both laptops?

That message/request normally disappears after 72 hours.

no i am using new laptop with new ips i want to be done with old laptop it is getting were it wont charge even plugged into the wall its a maybe ..

Add a new number, and use that to verify. In future keep numbers active, always. Another tip, try get the hang of virtual machines, it just makes it so much easier moving computers with a multitude of stealth accounts on them.

yes i figured it up and would cost my over 6000 per year adding 20.00 card to ea trac phone every 90 days .. Miss the good ole days were google voice was acceptable . i still have accounts running gV from the early days and i am holding on dearly to my numbers lol

Still works fine as long as you add the GV number AFTER creation.

thats my plan so add add a GV and remove the old number that it was created with

Careful I tried that when it wants to confirm it's you then you change the number to gv then they lock your account with a call us and a reference number.

Did you go back to your old unit so it knows its you and add the number on it ?
was told you CANT add a number on the "new"computer ....

Did you call in . was told wait 72 hrs it will go away if you dont log in

No I'm on it and tried to update it because number is no good. I think it can work if you update the number without it telling you to do it is the key. Change it then don't try to list.

the request to add number is supposed to go away if you dont log into the account for 72hrs then maybe it will take the number
