How does ebay count Late delivery rate?????
 

This is getting very annoying. Ebay seems to count late delivery from different period from time to time!!!

So one month it was counting from feb 2016- and I had a defect of only 0.45% late defect.

Sometimes it likes to count from Sep 2015, results in 2.45% late delivery defect..

I mean wtf??????

Are you going between selling 400 items a month and the next month selling below 400? My ratings are based on a year for cases closed, because I'm under 400. However they will look at a totally different time period (30 days) if I get my monthly sales up to 400 somehow.

I always had a feeling even if I did somehow sell 400 one month, to get back above standard, that if I drop below 400 is be right back to below standard.

That's probably why then, I sell around 200 a month normally. But sales have dropped recently and they start counting differently...

To improve your metric you could quickly sell a bunch of low cost items, and make sure they are delivered by the date eBay estimates for your customers.

I don't know if you're top rated but if you are, you won't be top rated anymore if "late shipment" goes below 3%

Also, I've been selecting 'expedited shipping' because I ship Priority, with 0 day handling. Apparently that wasn't a good move, because they consider expedited door to door within 3 days... which it often is. But, if I add 12 hours of handling here or there either way, and in additon its a 3 day priority, i lose.

Doing the opposite would serve you better.

I'll select "retail ground" (9 day delivery time) for orders I ship first class (4 day delivery), to give myself extra time on that metric. I had to start doing this a few months ago to remain top rated and it's worked really well. Plus I get a lot of feedback saying "order arrived a week early!".

selling limits drop every month says need to improve . Now says great job you have improved and and no longer below standard ... but the limits are now pretty low and no matter what they dont go back up on their own .. anyone call in trying to get them raised back up or just stick to the 5/500 limits forever ?

If you've pushed the account to below standard, and now improved it, your chances of getting any form of increase is dismal.
