Spanish buyers that don't read the description for an item then leave negative feed.
 

I sold a phone and here was my CLEAR description of the item:

"2 out of 5 stars, item is in very poor cosmetic condition. Will display significant signs of use including the front frame which has a one inch crack on the top left side"



The buyer leaves me a negative feed in SPANISH..stating.."why didnt you tell me phone has damage bad"......

Communicate 'nicely' with the buyer. If it doesn't work out, email eBay what you just said + include the correspondence you had with the buyer.

Thanks...I am pretty infuriated right now....I LITERALLY could not be more clear in my item description..I don't understand how buyers could not read a description

A lot of buyers dont read the description. No idea what they read. I guess they just picture in their mind what they're expecting, and hit buy. :smash:

Leave it for now. Deal with it tomorrow when you (and the buyer) are more calm. By dealing with an already heated situation, your just adding fuel to a burning flame.

I usually contact any customers who leave neg's after a week, give them time to cool down.

You're lucky they didn't open a return.... in cases of international returns you're almost better off letting them keep the item free. Often once you pay shipping both ways its not even worth fighting.


This goes hand in hand with the other thread... ebay is ranking other countries right in with our search results. So this will keep happening... the more exposure we have to international buyers the more international headaches will happen

How am I "lucky"....lol....I could not be more clear about the item. I understand in most cases ebay sides with the buyer....but in this case its like...COME ONNNNN..I dont think I will have a very difficult time getting the neg reversed

There is no harm in contacting ebay about it to hear their say. Best to email, if they reject your claim. dispute with more or the same evidence, if you repeat this process 2-3 times, sometimes, they do remove the defect from your account.

If it does not work out then, as above, contact the ebayer calmly and if they agree, send them a feedback revise request

Thanks, if I ask ebay to remove the negative and lets say they do.....does this get counted as a "case closed without seller resolution?"

From what you've mentioned, the buyer has not opened a case. They have just left a neg, correct?

I shouldn't think so if he hasn't opened a case. A feedback revise request simply is a part from him to change the feedback to a positive one

I did email the buyer as you guys recommend..how long do you generally wait for a response before contacting ebay?

Are you getting this from an international sale or from selling within the USA.

Dont hesitate. Give it a week to communicate back and forth. By being impatient and forcing responses from the buyer could just infuriate them.

I just called ebay the rep stated she will have the neg removed within 24 hrs if not within a few minutes :laugh:

I just checked its gone already sweeeet

Keep calm and collective, and deal with the situation. Its simply not worth the stress.

I think the main reason I was so stressed was b.c. my feedback is only 59 so one neg really screws me...if I had thousands of feedback I wouldn't worry as much you kno?
