Once I get a tracking number do I give it the buyer? Or do I have to wait?
 

A few minutes ago I sent the buyer his item and I got the tracking number. I checked with the FedEx website and its not valid (obviously because the truck hasn't picked it up yet)

My question is - Do I give it to him right now or do I give it when the tracking number is valid? I want to give to him right now so that eBay knows that I ship fast.

yes, give him now, and mark item as dispatched on ebay with tracking number

You necessarily do not have to give it to buyer. Once you use Ebay tracking uploading system it is uploaded automatically and buyer can see it. Also, USPS/FedEx scan the item, tracking number will be uploaded within their website.

Most (if not all) tracking number will show as "invalid" if they are checked before the first scan. I explain this to at least one customer daily :(

It's not a phake tracking number, and there wasn't any need to stir up trouble :(

- You'd have to be stupid to think you're getting an authentic pair of new $250 shoes for $90. People hate Kanye and don't mind hurting his "business"
- Ebay is fully aware of the 1000's of counterfeit items being peddled on their site daily. If customer service is maintained they turn a blind eye, to boost their bottom line. Ebay would have been defunct long ago without phake merch

That's the one thing I don't like about this website... half of the members are criminals... there really needs to be a sub-forum for legitimate businesses. They're not even worth $90, they're worth the $15 paid to the 12 year old in Indonesia that made them. They're worthless.

Sure there's lots of "criminals" here, but that's why the forum has rules. Discussing phakes isn't allowed so that shouldn't be much of a problem for you. This place is an excellent resource for anyone who sells on EB/AZ.

Well.. he admitted it first of all. And I get it.. you can sell all the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ **** in the world, you just can't talk about it. That's why he edited the post.

The fact of the matter is, someone selling counterfeit items has absolutely NOTHING in common with someone kicked off of ebay or limited due to system glitches, policy changes, or real issues people face. The fact of the matter is, counterfeiters create their' own problems... in the nature of their business.

Some people *Deserve* to be kicked off of eBay, for the safety of the community. These people aren't adding credibility to your board, quite the opposite honestly.

Yes, I agree with you on that. But there's obviously money to be made, or these things wouldn't be so commonly sold online.
