Good 'till cancelled not renewed

Was the listing removed? That's the only reason I can think of..

I got this from eb.
REASON DESCRIPTION
1 Your listing(s) were not renewed because you have reached how much you can list on eBay this month. If you like, you can request to be able to list more or see how much you can list each month

Re: Good 'till cancelled not renewed

So you hit your selling limit and they removed the items to stop you being able to sell anymore

Next time when you are getting close to your selling limit increase the price on the items until the next month starts. That will prevent the listing being removed

Yeah but frequently modifying the price will seriously effect search ranking. I didn't believe it at first, but if you change the price more than 3 times or so, a listing becomes practically invisible. I had one listing drop from 50 sales per day to maybe 4 per day, just because I messed with the price too many times. I'd recommend just decreasing quantity when needed Dufus, so you don't exceed your selling limit.

I have never really had that issue either tbh on my own accounts nor do many of the bulk sellers that I buy from.

It all depends how much you do it and how much you increase your prices by. If you want to keep the 'sold' marker on the listing then it is the simplest way to make sure that the listings don't get removed when you hit the selling limit which is the question in hand :)

Re: Good 'till cancelled not renewed

We'll just agree to disagree on this one, because you could just as easily keep your "sold count" by decreasing the quantity to 0. The account of mine I'm referring to has over 40k sales and is a platinum powerseller. I raised the price on this particular listing by $1 one night just to boost my profits. Noticed the next day that sales suffered so I reverted to the old price, but the listing has never done well since. BUT the same listing at the exact same price is getting me upwards of 70 sales per day on another account.

Just putting my experience out there. Selling limits aren't really an issue I deal with, but I do sometimes run low on stock. Reducing a listing's quantity has always served me better than temporarily jacking up the price.

EDIT: Again, this is just my experience. My experience may only pertain to my niche. I wasn't trying to start an argument. None of us know exactly how Cassini operates. For me, it could have been due to the fact I'd sold several hundred of the item before messing with the price. Who knows? I just do what works best for me :thumb:

No problem editing price at all on my accounts, cant imagine eBay search would penalise changing prices of a listing in such a dynamic and competitive environment, it is a necessity...

Re: Good 'till cancelled not renewed

Guys i wasn't even close to hitting my selling limit. I only sell 1/3 of my limit.
