Safest Way to send DVDs
 

Is there a special way to ship DVDs like Media Mail or should I ship it regular priority mail? Need to figure out the safest method to package these. Thanks.

Answer largely depends on shipping costs. There are excellent quality bubble mailers that
you can buy & they make the item safe (enough). So what are you prepared to pay & what
volume of DVDs will be sold? Factor the answer for Media or priority on that,imo.

What do you mean by safe? If you mean physically safe so they don't get damaged, I just use regular bubble mailers. #0 size. 6" x 10"
Most single dvd packages only weigh 4oz, so they should go 1st class mail. 1st class mail is cheaper than media mail until you get up to 8oz. When your dvd package is 8oz or heavier switch to media mail.
I never use priority mail. I don't offer that option. But you can if you charge more. It costs like $5 just for the first lb.

Yea, I just got some of the bubble mailers from Walgreens. I think that will be good enough. Its 6 oz for a single DVD. I am tired of paying 4.75 for Priority Mail everything on USPS Online Click N Ship. Is there any cheaper method online? Maybe UPS?

I have purchased a box of a hundred on eBay for about 15 cents each.

I always shipped my DVDs 1st class mail because it gets there faster than media.

Never had one not show.

I've shipped roughly 2500 dvds first class mail in the past year...and about 250 of them ended up having cracked cases and/or scratched dvds all because of them being sent first class mail because lets face it...postal employees are not very careful with first class mail. I suggest media mail but it does take a few days longer.
