As far as I know ebay doesn't do fulfillment. Companies like Shipwire provide such service. Correct me if I am wrong.
I've looked into other fulfillment companies in the past, ran down some numbers, realized the margins are minimal.

I just checked out ship wire actually, how do you like it? Margins minimal? Do you mean that the cost/fees ship wire make your business model's profits minimal?

Correct, at first I was fascinated by the fact that Shipwire is easily integrated with most shopping carts and marketplaces (eBay, amazon etc..) Did the math and realized that their storage fees eat up most of my profits.

For it to be feasible, the products must be SMALL, expensive (or at least great $ margin) and move fast. Otherwise you will pay away your profits for storage and their other fees.

I spoke to some people who use their service and those that find it really worthwhile are startup brands that have a limited amount of SKU's and putting all their resources/marketing to push their products to the market in large volume. For many of us with hundreds with SKU's which some that sell well and other mediocre may find it better to ship themselves or hire someone.

I ship myself right now. I will use 3PL once I shorten my stock. And keep only best sellers.
