Monitoring The Account Aging Process

How often should I log into accounts that I create that are just sitting with no plans of activity? Mainly talking newly created accounts eBay & PayPal both. Also, how do you handle your monitoring of "aged" accounts? Are 5/500 accounts treated different than a 1000/25,000 accounts during and after :help:the process.

I guess what I'm asking is, how do you keep an eye on all of it?

Why would you have accounts just sitting with no activity? They don't start "aging" until you start making sales.

What I do personally is something like this:
Buy or create account and list a low risk item
Wait for the first sale to complete, then slowly start listing more stuff
After 100 sales or so I determine if I'm going to attach a tax ID
If I think an account is worth it, I get an EIN and upgrade

For the accounts I never attach an EIN to, I log in at least once per month to eliminate any risk of Ebay closing the account for inactivity.

I don't let any new accounts just sit with no sales though. What's the point?

Every Account you make, you should have at least 1-5 sales to start.

Thanks for the information. Already have a several accounts I'm selling on. These are back ups that's why I have no real plan to sell. Just wanted to get a feel for how to handle ithem correctly.
