Lost my laptop on ebay
 

So i sold a laptop on ebay and I didn't buy insurance and it was sent to the wrong addresss, of course I didn't get it back and the payment got sent back to the original buyer. What to do?

Might want to contact the Post Office and try and have them get the laptop back from whatever address they delivered it too. How do you know it was delivered to the wrong address, did the buyer tell you that?

I honestly don't really know what happened, the post office sent the package to a different address.

No, that does not work.

The seller must control delivery.

From the top:

You listed the lappie on ebay.

If paypal was used, was the address confimed on paypal.

If there was any type of differences, what did you then do?

A claim needs to be opened with the USPS, them delivering the package to another address isn't just a small boo-boo.....they need to recover the laptop or refund you (if you put insurance on the package).

No it's definitely gone I didn't even bother to get it back(no insurance), I filed a claim and nothing was done

The scanners they use have GPS Built into them... They have the exact gps coordinates of where it was delivered. Their local post office will work with you... Insurance or non... If it was their mistake. The carrier will knock on the door it was delivered to. Roommate is usps supervisor, he had to track down packages like this often.

How do you know it was delivered to a different address? - was this tracked mail?
