ebay wont let me sell
 

Ok, so i am using a relatives details to sell, they know of this

I created a new user account on pc, using 24v fresh ip address, followed all the instructions, created new account, waited months, listing a new item and its saying you have reached the number of items you can sell and it wont let me list any items?

Need more info about the account including paypal.

Was the paypal verified and confirmed?

What was the first listing, had you browsed etc ,cookies etc?

You would need to clear out cookies if you have used another eBay before with that FireFox yes

so i cleared the cookies on that firefox and its still the same, does that mean its all been linked now to my other restricted from selling account?

this was a new user account, i had only used the firefox on the new user

because it is on the same pc and i didnt clear the cookies, although it is a new user account on the pc, new ebay account, paypal confirmed and fresh ip address.

Cookies are not shared between user accounts. I use firefox here and there (mainly IE) in different user accounts and I have not been linked.

i dont know why then if this is a new ebay account, with a relatives details who has never used ebay before, with thier permissions then why is it saying, you have reached the number of items you can sell, when i havent sold anything yet

Get on live chat and see if they will raise your limits?
I had a stealth that could list one item then no more,five minutes with live chat and 10-£600 thanks

You wrote before that the paypal is confirmed - meaning you have a VCC/CC attached...is it verified with bank?

no there is no vcc attached? is that the problem? the paypal was confirmed with the bank account details., but no card was involved, would i need to add the card details to the account too i take it?

Have you looked in the selling section of the eBay to see what your selling limits are... That is the first thing you need to do

they said it looks like that account has been associated with my restricted account

what now does that mean i will be charged by police or what

It means your not going to be able to use that stealth account and that you need to make a new one

This time you need to make sure you dont get linked

What you need to do is stop trying to make an account the right way. Here's a tip, tell us what steps you plant to take and we will analyze those steps and tell you if your going about it right or wrong.

Post up all your steps and wise people here will better identify the problem.

Your question "i will be charged by police or what" is kind of worrisome about your understanding of eBay and Paypal

Hi ok, so i just decided to close the account down then, i appreciated peoples feedback, im just rubbish when it comes to all this, i thought i done everything correctly and yet it still became linked for some reason, i wont be doing this again.

The steps are pretty simple to follow really

New user account
New stealth details
New bank account
New IP

And then make sure you remain link free.

Does the relative whose details you used stay at the same address as you?

if you are SERIOUS about doing ebay correctly, you would provide more setup step details for the forum to analyze. If you have decided that you won't be doing this...well, then that's your choice.

ebayor bust - the relative does not stay at the same address as me however i used to live at that address with my old ebay account so maybe my old address has linked me i can only think

Everything must be new and never used before. Name, address, telephone number, bank account, credit card, email address, IP address and new user account on your PC.

Nothing can be reused. So if you used an address that you had on your old account at any time, that is a major and instant link.

If your old suspended ebay account was once registered at the address you used then that is the reason why you got linked.

When you changed the address on your old ebay account, they still "keep" that address on record.
