Anyway to NOT lose the sold number if out of stock

Title pretty much explains it..I have that nice red sold number next to one of my listing which I don't really want to lose..but I am in fact out of stock for the item listed..anyone know?

Generally people will increase prices so that the items dont get sold and then when they have stock again the price would get lowered again.

Are you using the GTC feature?

You check the box in settings that holds your Good Till Cancelled Listings when out of stock. It would be best to just use the ebay search function help/contact for these simple selling principles.

Yankee where can I find this?
I would do the research myself but it's urgent which is why I posted the question here.
