Paypal Auto Reversals

Paypal have been auto reversing some sales today.

There are a number of threads about this on the EBay site.

It just happened to me. The sale reversed straight away.

Just another glitch to contend with.

Apparently some sellers have posted a lot out today and the funds have been reversed with no communication!

Anyone on here affected?

Can I just confirm, funds are reversed and they dont communicate about it, at all? no emails about it?

Correct.

I had to log into Paypal to see the Reversal.

Lucky you could see it because it wouldn't surprise me if they could make it so you couldn't see it.

I my case my Buyers money was reversed the minute payment was received, and the item remained listed.

The same Buyer has bought again tonight successfully.

I took no action, however it is concerning.

Lots of comments on the EBay Discussion Boards and Down Detector.

What exactly or precisely might you expect paypal to do?

SFA would be their standard reaction.

Look at how bugged their UK system is.

Sellers are going to need to keep on top of this glitch.

I rely completely on email communication from PayPal and ebay as I hardly ever login to those accounts. Even when I do, I never go through the transaction history with a fine comb, simply because I never expected them to reverse transactions. In other words I had a little faith in their system, I guess I will keep an eye on it from now on.

I balance paypal weekly.

Can not chance them and their integrity after reading horror stories just on here!

Just a heads up.

Had another issue with Paypal again this evening.

Standard email to confirm ok to send the item.

Funds actually received and NOT reversed.

The sale does not appear in the sales history in EBay.

Email received from the buyer concerned that the item is still for sale and the purchase has not appeared in their purchase history.

I note the buyer has a BT Internet address and there have been a lot of issues with BT on EBay this week.

Be vigilant......
