Usps is absolutely ridiculous
 

I sell high value items.....I Know for a fact I shipped about 8 or 9 items and none of them are showing as scanned even 2 days after I dropped them off.
Now I'm getting questions from buyers asking why hasn't the item shipped....I called usps and there best answer was..."yeah sometimes we just throw them in the truck..you have to wait a couple more days sit tight"

In the future, just take it to another post office. Your packages aren't scanned in because the employees there simply decided not to do it, most of the time my packages are scanned in an hour after they're dropped off. Most of the time when the initial post office doesn't scan it in, it will update when it reaches the first sorting facility or reaches the buyer's delivering post office.

Dude I'm freaking out here too....each of my items run minimum $400....and one of them I shipped on the 11th to Texas from NJ and it still shows manifest status...unbelievable...I cannot even claim insurance because I didn't get a scan in receipt that day I was in a rush

For expensive items, it takes a lot more time but the best way is to wait in line have them all scanned and get receipt

You can not allow yourself that luxury.

You need to have everything in order to protect yourself.

Check other options for postage.

Get stressed when 50+ things dont show up scanned in my shet filled city. This is the reason I ship out every single day, even when I only have 2 things to ship. About 90% of my shipments I have dont get scanned until it hits some sorting place in another state 1-2 days later.

You can try another post office but most likely its the same thing. I miss my old city when 90% of everything got scanned at the post office I dropped it off at. I went from 90% scanned to 90% not scanned. But everything gets to its place on time.

Thanks for the response, I am just kinda nervous because some of the items I dropped off at the post office 4-5 days ago and there isnt a single scan showing yet....could it be that some items only get scanned when they are delivered?

To be honest, if I was selling 200/300 items a week for $300 per unit, i wouldn't sleep anymore, and if i sleep I would have many nightmares knowing that any 13 years old kid couild get my stuff for free.. You never thought about another solution than ebay ? with the amout of the ebay fees you pay, you could make a gread online shop and hire a great seo company

It takes longer for expensive items because its good to wait in line and get them all scanned with a receipt, cheap items u can just leave with the bulk mail and walk out

You sell upwards of $90k a week and you use the shxtty fxcking post office?

Get your a$$ to FedEx or UPS. No one selling expensive items uses the crappiest shipping service they can find.

I looked into it and cannot seem to find out how to get it..

The items I ship are smal..FedEx or ups would considerably increase shipping cost

Typically, you click the button that says, "End of Day"....on Fedex, UPS and USPS and all third party services as well excluding amazon. As far as I know, amazon does not have thee feature.

Google can be your friend along with ebay, shipstation, endicia, stamps, or whatever service you use to print labels. If you dont know, then learn how by asking the place you print labels from.

I print all labels through ebay, so I guess ebay does not have that feature.
I am also looking into how to get one master label which can be scanned once so I do not need to wait for each and every single item to be scanned at post office

Each label will have its "scan" barcode. It just prints them all out one after another... A long sheet of paper with a duplicate barcode as on each box. you take these sheets to the counter and have postal agent scan each one. It is the equivalent of scanning each label on the box, because they are identical. Thus, you wont need to lug every box to the counter and have them scanned one by one. You just drop off the packages and have postal agent scan the sheets.... there is no such as one master scan as you propose with your method. There will be one barcode for each box...

@Retailer, do you have any kind of relationship with your Postal Office Employees? If not I would strongly suggest you start a conversation with them and let them know you drop off items on a daily basis.

Communicate with your post office and help them understand that as a top rated seller you must show a package has been shipped within 24 hours. Ask for a receipt when you drop them off if they give you a problem.

There is a master scan which is one barcode for every postage printed. When you have multiple postages to print and you use multilabel postage as already mentioned you will be given the option to print the master scan sheet for your order.

So if you purchase 20 postages thru bulk shipping you will have the option to print thr scan sheet which is one barcode that will scan all 20

Yea the scan label works as one barcode for the all items printed on one account . if using many accounts you will have many scan labels with different shipper names on it . i always just stand in line and ask for the acceptance receipt on items 200+ in value . ALSO call and ask for postmaster tell him you are getting complaints about not shipping even tho you have and PO just didnt scan them in . BE FRIENDLY AS CAN BE just explain your worries

I assume when they give me my receipt from the master bar code.it will have all the separate ones on it right?
