| prissanna | 06-18-2016 09:22 AM | Slow Sales? Has anyone noticed sales slowing since the new seller hub has been released? This is my busy time and I'm barely getting any sales this year. |
| phaz0rz | 06-18-2016 09:27 AM | Re: Slow Sales? Try running a sale. Sales have been fairly consistent across my niches all year.
EDIT: I hate seller hub and haven't chosen to use it on any accounts. Switch back to selling manager if you think it's having an impact. |
| prissanna | 06-18-2016 09:32 AM | Re: Slow Sales? I didn't even realize you could do that! I will see what I can find out. I like the new features it has but if it's affecting my sales then it's gotta go! |
| yankee | 06-18-2016 09:35 AM | Re: Slow Sales? I can not imagine sellers Hub having any differance in search results. I have used it on one account this week. I still am the first listing in the three hot items I sell on that account when I search for them. |
| prissanna | 06-18-2016 09:37 AM | Re: Slow Sales? I just figured eBay was working behind the scenes on their site with the hub and it might be affecting sales. Wondered if I was the only one. |
| prissanna | 06-18-2016 09:41 AM | Re: Slow Sales? I did a search on a few of my items and none of my stuff is popping up. Any suggestions on that?
A generic search. When I put a part number in I'm about 10 down. |
| yankee | 06-18-2016 09:45 AM | Re: Slow Sales? log out and search your items. Then you will know. :peace:
I am guessing your items are weather/seasonal related and they weather has been messed up nationwide for one.
Another thing is that if you are selling a spring/summer busy season item typically that means it is a desired item and not a needed item. This economy, election year, and in general confidence of people all across the USA and rest of the world is pretty low. That makes people fiscally conservative.
I sell a late summer and early fall category. It is exactly the situation I stated above suppressing everything I sell that is not a consumable and needed item in this niche.
Example: If I was selling Golf Equipment, for sure hight dollar clubs and timeshares for remote deluxe courses would be much lower than hoped but balls may be almost as consistent if you eliminated the extreme weather in many areas of the country.
How are you doing on price competing? That usually is the biggest factor in extremely low sales |
| prissanna | 06-18-2016 09:51 AM | Re: Slow Sales? Thanks for your response. My items are needed items this time of year. During the winter months I slow down but not nearly as slow as I am right now.
I am competitive with my prices, only making a few dollars per item on most and a little more per item on others. I'm not trying to get rich but I am trying to make a living which was possible up until this year. |
| prissanna | 06-18-2016 09:54 AM | Re: Slow Sales? I am thinking about running a sale as suggested above but I'm not sure I can afford it. |

Just having a listing on sale will bump you up in the results a good bit, and it also makes it possible for you to be featured on the home page.
I also highly doubt seller hub is having any impact on your sales, but it wouldn't hurt to rule that out if you think it might be.
If you want to go back, there should be a link somewhere around the top right of the seller hub page that says "opt out" or "switch back" or something like that. I'm not sure what the link says but I know I've reverted on 2 accounts. |

Either you've not noticed more sellers or sellers with better prices than before or ebay has trashed your search ranking, heard about it happening to a few people for seemingly no reason.
Try another account if its option 2 |
| Jackery | 06-18-2016 09:16 PM | Re: Slow Sales? Pay someone on fiverr to spread your links around for a month. If it works for you keep paying them every month...WARNING: you could end up making a $hitload of cash. |

| Jackery | 06-19-2016 12:03 AM | Re: Slow Sales? Go make a fiverr account and search social marketing. You give the person you select some keywords for the product you want them to promote and send them the link for that product you have on eBay, Amazon, Etsy etc...you will understand more once you go to fiverr and check it out. Enjoy. |
| Haidukken | 06-19-2016 01:38 AM | Re: Slow Sales? 0 posts, 0 everything and you are hyping Fiverr products... Not sure if I would take your advice.
Literally almost everything in Fiverr is AIDS, when it comes to traffic, searches, likes, followers and so on.
The only thing you can get AIDS free from Fiverr are business cards and item descriptions. |

| aksalesonline | 06-19-2016 01:45 AM | Re: Slow Sales? I've had slow sales recently but normally this time of year so its usual for me. Should build up again early August for 6 months. |

Try another account if its option 2 | Just one account. My Mom has an account as well (we work together) selling the same stuff and her sales are down also. |
