Iphone6 or Mifi?

Just a question really...

I have an iPhone 6S which is great but when I'm working away from my router, I'm too lazy to go down two lights of stairs to reset the sky router every 10 minutes.

Occasionally I'll work from my bed at night times and use the iPhone for a hotspot but the 3G is quite slow and sometimes it converts itself to GPRS which is just unbearable.

Question 1: Is it just the SIM card which will be the problem? (If I have the same contract SIM cards in different devices will it be identical speeds)?

Question 2: Is a MiFi device going to be faster?

I don't know about uk, but here in the states, my 3G can play YouTube vids without a break, blurry tho.

I'd also be lazy if I had to go down flights of stairs to do that, each time I needed a new IP.

a) have you tried resetting through the router settings remotely from a computer?
b) have you got more than 1 stealth account, if so, are you keeping track of IP addresses?

Unless there is a technical fault with the handset, I doubt changing to a MIFI device would improve much.

It depends on which network provider you opt to go with. EE should have a large coverage with being a merge of multiple networks now + it supports 4G which is faster than most home internet connections.

Sounds like you're in a bad area, mine only goes to gprs when I'm at my mums in the middle of nowhere

Yeah perhaps so.

I'm in Leicestershire and although coverage websites state I'll be fine, it's particularly terrible.

Quite possibly the area, as on my iPhone 6s plus download speed from EE excess of 100mb and can use it as a hotspot with no problems.

Funny you mention that, I have a Verizon Flashed 3G Mifi just for my daughter to watch videos on youtube and other Apps she uses that require internet. Best $5/Month I can spend.
