Ebay seller fees for Suspended account
 

Okay so basically ebay suspended me indefinitely, I had unlinked my paypal and info etc. They kept sending me bills for the balance that i owed however i feel it is very unfair that i have to pay fees on an account that wont be reinstated. They have now sent it to a collections who sent me a mail asking for me to pay ebay through a few options but in the letter it also states that if i want to dispute it to do so with in 30 days. Could anyone lend some insight please

How much $ are we talking about? Is the money owed in your name? Is it a f*** person? Or ....

roughly $800 the account is in a family members name as i created it before i found stealth

Forum does not exist to help/support avoiding fee payment. You used the service - suspended or not - pay the fees. Your choice ultimately but the more people who don't pay their fees, the harder it becomes on existing sellers in general.

Even worse is that you have fees due under a REAL person's name who is not you it seems...

You have now affected that family members credit rating, congratulations! I don't care if you think it's "unfair", you owe those fee's...let me rephrase that...your FAMILY MEMBER owes those fees which you incurred. Pay the damn fee's and you should notify that family member on how you allowed them to get to a collection agency....so they can start repairing their Credit Rating.

This is why we tell people NOT to use Family, Friends for info.

The family member's credit isn't affected unless you gave ebay their SS#.
Did you use their SS# at some point? Is your family member aware you used their information?
If you did not use a SS#, you will just be in ebay internal collections department
and that person will not be able to use ebay again.

Are the fees straight seller fees or were they to pay a claim?
You might be able to have some of them reversed if the items were
delivered, etc. How long ago were the fees created? You only have
a certain amount of time to file an appeal for cases.

Unlinking did nothing. Link still exists on the ebay/paypal side.

When you signed up to use ebay/paypal, you agreed to their fees.

There was no clause excusing your paying them if suspended.

Your dilema now is why do you want to harm a relative who let you use their name. You need to think of that harm.

Hope you choose wisely and pay.

Well, if it is done in real details, fees can't be legally avoided, you have to pay them.

Yeah they will start sending collection letters to the address on file & any other address that may be on their credit report or any address that may be associated with the person.

No connection to me but my x sister in law (my brothers x wife) she ows ebay & a bunch of other bills & i get letters & calls about her all the time, we never lived together, live 3000 miles from her & 1500 miles from my brother, they been divorced 15 yrs.
It won't go away.

That's rough jojo2012 - getting the garbage mail and calls of others - calls you can avoid by changing number (if you want I guess) or telling them to stop calling since that person is not at this number...no?

Actually my brother loves it when I notify him about how bad his ex-wife is doing financially LOL!
( she left him for a guy that made a lot more money , I guess it didn't work out)

Wether you are suspended or not. You sold some items = You pay the fees for the sold items.
