Follow up on adding new PayPal to very old account
 

Hey guys I'm sorry I couldn't locate my original thread. I added a brand new PayPal to a 16 year old account. I remember the consensus was "I suspect you will have holds just like any other new PayPal account".

I just wanted to let you guys know, I made my first sale, and there were no holds what so ever.. Money ready for withdrawal! Now I did link a bank account, confirm all of my information, as well as accept one other $22 non-eBay payment... If any of those factors could have helped my situation. But I think the age of my eBay account was the deciding factor.

Back in business.... I really thought I would have the 21 day holds for first 90 days.

Love to know where u found a 16 yr old account. I would buy one in a heartbeat..lol

Nice to hear OP but remember...holds can be placed at any time so...just fyi, you are never 100% scott-free

I had one on the back burner... It was my actual account. It had pretty high sales many years ago. This was the one I called to check my limits, and she said there were ''no limits" as it was set up before limits. Will be interesting to see if I have any selling limits here in regards to number of items or dollar value... But the PayPal so far so good. I think I should be good to list the 25 items every 2 weeks that was recommended to me here to start.

Now just to ensure I don't get linked!!

Another interesting update... Despite not selling on this account for years, every single item I have listed this week sold... some within minutes of listing, or at the most a day or two. Amazing sell through... This account is getting killer placement due to account age. It seems buying an aged account is definitely the way to go if you don't have one on the back burner. Considering shopping around for another very old account as backup. My views are also through the roof... Items that used to see 35 views total, now receive 35 views in one day. Getting limited on my two year old account was a blessing in disguise!
