I found the name of an ebay rep on facebook
 

Hey, I was chatting to an ebay rep today about falling from Top rated to below standard just because of a case that was not seller resolved.(no fault of my own) So ''cases not resolved my seller'' went to 0.70% The rest of my account is in perfect standing. The lady on chat said she would hand over appeal to someone in that department. so the next lady up the ladder sent me a message on ebay stating that they could not remove the case, but to keep selling as much as possible to bring it back up to Top rated. I saw her name in the messages and decided to put it in facebook. The name comes up, and says in her profile ''Self Employ at eBay''

if my account gets limited do you think it would be a good idea to contact her on facebook? be her friend ,, chat to her for a week, then confess to her that im the seller on ebay who you were dealing with and can you cut me some slack.

Anyone ever try to do this before?

You are seriously contemplating contacting someone on facebook about your ebay account? honestly, if it doesn't sound silly then you need to rethink it.

I mean I could always add her, get to be her friend, get really close. And IF anything really bad happened to my account ,(where I have nothing to lose) well she works for ebay appeals...lol

At this point nothing bad has happened to my account, so best not to contact her I think.

At this point, no need. But if you have issues with you account, you got nothing to lose.

Or form now, play it safe and spread your sales over a few accounts.

Self employed on eBay means she is an eBay seller. Just like in America, but more so in India where that department is based, people will have similar or exact same names.

I'm sure you aren't the first person to try and be friends with her because she works at eb. I would be surprised if you even get her to accept your friend request. She's got to be approached all the time by 'friends' who want her to help them with eb. I don't even work there and get asked all the time to help people with their stuff. I'm relatively sure she would be on to you in a minute. Even if she wasn't, once you ask for help, you would be unfriended.
It's one thing to look someone up and see where they work but to plan to use them for your eb benefit IF you ever have a problem? That's not very nice. Would you want to be used that way?

Update...

I had three ebay reps tell me they could not remove the case on my account

This morning I got a message from another ebay rep saying she believed it should be removed, and has personally removed the case.

Courtesy removals won't get you back to top rated. It's a flustercluck.

Not true, the defects have beeen removed and im on track to go back to top rated Aug 20th. Thats what it now says in my dashboard.

Maybe its different on ebay U.S.

Not different, but very lucky. In my case, it were 3 cases that were a legitimate glitch. After a month of trying almost full time, and proving the glitch on another 4th return, their answer was "well how do we know that was the case on the other 3". Despite me telling India for 30 days... That this was the case, and not being able to prove it. The when I could prove it... They didn't care.

Seems much easier to convince them in a case of 1 time. I personally have talked to them in a one time case, and had similar results. No matter if legitimate reasons or not. 1 time = removed. 3 glitches in a month,,, because they're real glitches... And it's a "pattern".
