Is this safe? Searching for item values using a spare device, on same network?
 

I am using a new 4g iphone to do all of my listings... As I know I can not connect to wifi as it will link by IP to my old account.

However, I have a third device, a tablet on that 'blacklisted' wifi that is brand new and never used for eBay or logged in. Can I search for the items I plan to list to determine value on the tablet.... So long as I don't log into either account? They'll see the IP and search history... But as guest.
Idk if they keep records of guest search logs to ip, but if they do, any manual review would see the exact items searched on one IP were listed one by one on my stealth account. If they were to come under manual review, and if logs are kept.


I also plan to use the tablet for a third account one day, so it wouldn't want it to connect my IP to my future stealth account device either.

Perfectly safe in my opinion.

It's very doubtful you'll ever lose an account or be linked solely based on a common IP. So many sellers use mobile internet that IP isn't a good way to track sellers. I run two accounts on the majority of my VPN's and I've never been linked in any way.

Golly gosh... You would be really unlucky for a manual review on that sort of activity.

Should be safe.

The main point, for me, is you KNOW not to be signed in.
