The most newbiest question ever-sorry
 

Got my new stealth account up and running...taking it slow and following all suggestions. Ok. here it goes. I got my new IP address yesterday. I set up and have been only using the same computer. Will there be any issues safely accessing my new account from my other wireless devices?... Smartphone, Tablets?

Ouch! Yes.. I have used my cell phone and tab for years on that suspended account.. So I can't use them for new account?.... But when at home the wireless devices use the same modem/router as the computer with new IP address I set up yesterday... Doesn't the new IP address refer to the modem/router....Allowing the other in-house wireless devices on the same network to be safe?

Thats tough. You should've restored your phone or tab to completely clean them from any trace of you old accounts. Or completely deleted anything that had to do with the eBay apps including the apps and re installed them.

Reinstalling the Apps doesn't work, the Apps collect a ton of information based on the Tablet/Phone. Suggest to never use the Apps again, even if you wipe them clean.

Ok...My question has nothing to do with apps.. I did wipe them. My question has only to do with IP addresses... Yesterday I started my new IP address on one computer. My specific question is doesn't the new IP address refer to the modem?.... Which means If I'm using my smart phone to dabble/sign in on my new stealth account, (not with any apps, just browser), and that smart phone uses the same modem/router/network, while in my house, is that not safe?

Here is the question that needs clarification. You say you got a new IP address. How did you get new IP?, new router, VPN, static or dynamic, service that your using. Where was the old one from (from your problem AZ, eBay, PP account). If you would kind of start from the beginning of your problems and walk through you will get much better and useful advice.:boink:

My eBay account was suspended- I bought my stealth eBay and PP from Stealthshop. During the set-up I bought IP change from 24vc. Both purchases and accounts went fine. I now have a confirmed "Fresh" IP... My question is I did all that from one computer. I guess to simplify non-techy newbie question.
I now know it's safe to login to my new stealth EB and PP account on this computer that I completed the act of changing to my new fresh confirmed IP address from 24cv. Now- can I also access my new stealth eb and PP accounts on my smart phone, while sitting on my couch in my house?

...and to add on. The bare bone question, (rephrased)- Doesn't IP addresses identify the "Address" of a specific modem, and not a specific computer, tablet, smart phone...etc. So if all of those devices are on the same modem/router in your house, don't they all benefit from the fresh IP address?

Hi, if you got a fresh ip from 24vc then you can use that from any device without issue. So no matter the device your using just make sure to connect the dedicated ip first and then you'll be good to go

I'm sorry if I am misunderstanding you question.
If the IP is fresh then you are good.
But you shouldn't use a device to access your new account if you used the same device to access your old account no matter the IP you use. Unless you somehow clean it out so it has no trace of the old account.

Question Corky2016, you are not using your same Windows user account on your new eBay paypal accounts you used for your now suspended account are you? If so it doesn't matter what IP you use it is now linked.

That's good, I didn't see anyone else mention it so I wanted to ask. Good luck with your first account! Keep reading the forum, you will learn a lot. I know I did when I was new.

your phone and tablet has got cookies stored on it which will link you to the old banned account.

Dont log into paypal app on your phone. Paypal app can see your number and mac address of the phone and other account info like a lot of other apps
