Veteran Account Selling High Risk

Hey everyone!

I have an eBay account from 2001 with 700+ feedback 100% positive. I'm wondering if I have to worry about getting banned or even getting asked to prove inventory if I'm selling a lot of Apple products ($400 iPads, $600 iPhones). A lot meaning about, 4 of each item a week.

I'm making the ads with pictures that I took, prices are pretty close to everyone else's, so not super low.

Is it still risky or will eBay leave me alone since the account is so old?

Thanks!!

In reality it depends on the selling history of the account during the last 365 days and specifically what has been going on during the last 90 days.

If it was me, I would only introduce 1 during the first 2 weeks, then increase slowly after that.

Ebay doesn't have a "Get out of Jail Free Card", they don't care if your account was opened on day 1 and have 100% positive feedback from day 1. Ebay can ask you for anything at any time.

If the account has a lot of recent selling history then the risks are reduced, however those items are capable of causing issues on any type of account.

Eventually you will be asked for invoices , ID, Docs, etc..
With any products i sell once sales are approaching 10K for the month im usually asked for documents from eBay. They usually allow me to keep selling on the accounts also, i may not be able to list more items but all my listings are left up while i send in the documents.

With Apple it will be tough, if your an authorized Apple dealer with documentation u may have an easier time , but with appple its best to get many accounts established and spread sales over many accounts keeping monthly sales at 3K this may help to avoid being hassled

Apple is available potentially dangerous - @Prime, have you sold any yet?

Thanks for all the advice people!

I've sold one iPad.

I might look to sell a limited amount of Apple products, and sell other items as well.

Not if used products. If Brand new then eventually u will get shutdown unless u can remain complaint free.

Even if they are new, seller as used but mint condition if you can make same profits. Ebay never asks for invoicing on used items.

Pretty broad statement to make...especially on Apple products

Well that is policy. Been doing stealth almost ten years. Learned that trick a lomg time ago. If they ask for a invoice for something used, including Apple, probably mistake. Just say it is used. Say you don't need invoices for used items.

Does not matter how old it is, but selling history does. If you sell without incidents for a year - very good. If your acc is 15 years old but sales in the last 5 years are 20x lower, than in the last month - issues will arise.
