Default Broken Items and Returns Ebay

Any help is appreciated so thanks in advance.

I had a buyer break a pair of earrings she bought from me. She is now asking to work out a "deal" or she will have to return them. Ebay is holding my money in paypal when I have an impeccable account with no strikes or negative feedbacks. I called and of course got the phillipines and they won't help me. Do I really have to accept a return of an item this a hole broke? I paid for insurance and it arrived to her safely. I follow all the ebay rules, but this is a new low and I am really angry.

how does she ask you that ?? does she admited she broke the item ? if she write sosmething like that on ebay message, just report her and send a copy of messages to ebay, you shoud be fine

If they are broken, what deal does she want? are they useable still..?

it all depends, but it may cost you more to get a return sorted and have a broken product that is not sellable...depends on if high value product eg gold and gems that can be repaired salvaged or cheap thing...let us know more.

and yes, I agree, if the buyer admits to breaking, I have used this before against them and won.

I would call ebay again and have them read the messages. You may have to ask them to read the messages. You can also talk to a supervisor.
