Submitting Business License for Stealth Account?
 

Hello Everyone,

I have a couple of questions.
Background info: eBay suspended my selling rights on one of my real eBay account (Paypal is still Active). They also took down my wife's eBay account too. So, I'm using a stealth account now to sell on eBay.

1. I'm planning to apply for Business license for this (selling online) and Instead of giving my SSN to PayPal. I would like to give my Business TID. Will PayPal look for my Business address? Since I will be using the genuine address (The address connected with my suspended eBay). If Paypal does then will they connect the stealth account with my suspended account and suspend the new account too?
2. I'm also planning to buy in wholesale after I apply for seller's permit. My eBay and Paypal is based on MN address and I live in Las Vegas area. Do I need to apply for MN state seller permit or Las Vegas seller permit?

PayPal will look at your business address, because if you go over $20,000 in sales, they need to make sure the IRS is given a form. So that HAS to be genuine.

Now whether that means your new Ebay account will be connected and then suspended is where we are entering new territory.

The new supposed Ebay/PayPal world is they are truly separate entities.

Meaning PayPal theoretically shouldn't share any information with eBay where they can make connections.

Concerning the fact that your ebay and paypal is based on MN address and you live in Las Vegas...when you ship, you can change the area code (not the whole address) so that you can have appropriate shipping charges. The reason why you should do this is USPS shipping charges might be different depending on what kind of items you ship. You want to stay as stealth as much as possible.

My eBay and PayPal account is based in Arizona, although I really live in California. I change the zip code (not permanent change) so that my shipping charges are correct. I do this because if the customer complains or USPS complains, eBay might raise a flag on your account.

Other threads have stated if ebay contacts you, just say your address is your permanent address, and even though you are shipping from another state, it is because either you are a student or you are on vacation, etc. Hopefully, eBay won't contact you and that would be because they don't see anything fishy.

Concerning whether you need to apply for an MN state seller permit or Las Vegas permit, I'll let others weigh in.
