Hmmm. ...strange HWGA. I am 100% sure I got that in Auctiva about month ago when I tried to check the "immediate payment req." It told me something like this option was only available when listing through Ebay. After that I never bothered to use it because of it..but wll have to check again and will keep you posted.

I have an option to un-check Auctiva Secure Checkout, which I did. Than I went to see what happens if I check under Paypal checkout also "Immediate Payment Required" and I still get next to it red text: *Not compatible with Auctiva Checkout." Now, does that mean I can still leave it checked since I now switched to Ebay checkout (is that better or worse?) and it will appear in my listing anyway?
I am confused.....Not sure if it's better to have Auctiva Checkout in settings, but not than be able to specify "Immediate Payment Required"...or should I just go with Ebay checkout and there is no real difference? Please let me know.. Thanks.

Wow, this thread has taken a lot of turns.

Going back to the first question, you can add a clause to each of your listings that states "No bidders with less than 3 positive feedback ratings," or something similar. Now, this still will not keep them locked out from an IT/system standpoint, but if you see them bidding on your item, cancel the bids and block them as a buyer.

Typically, some buyers will not always follow the terms on the contract/listing. However, for instance, if a buyer with zero feed back, buys an item in violation of the contract, and leaves negative feedback, eBay will generally remove it. A violation of the contract by the buyer make the contract null and void....

I haven't had a problem with 0 feedback buyers, I always ask them to make sure they are serious and they always pay. Also, I put a comment in my listing saying all 0 feedback members must contact me before bidding.

Lyda, yes I read all her posts. I still don't understand what kind of issues a person can have if he/she sets the PP required in a "non forced" catagory?

Since I use Paypal, Auctiva Checkout is of no real use to me, so I do NOT use it.
I would rather have "Immediate Payment" any day of the week. (And Do)

Thanks, HWGA! I agree 100%...........

Well, if it's "no-forced"category you may be able to use other methods of payments like Merchant acc., etc...where you don't accept PayPal from buyers. Why would you than have it in your settings that you require PP for bidding on your auctions? Not sure how it would work technically cause there is a paradox in there, so it may cause red flags...

On the other hand, if you accept PP payments anyway or it is required for your auction, I don't see there would be an issue...If there is, I hope someone tells why....:typing:
