Selling in Canada
 

I've been selling on kijiji/craigslist in the past years, making 1000-3000$ profit per month.
Recently my chinese seller told me that I should start an ebay account. I bought some workouts dvds from him and listed them on my ebay account. My account is 2 years old and it has 15-20 feedbacks.
It's not working well and I sold only 3 pcs in the past week. Another guy is selling the same items and he's selling 5-10 per day. We have almost the same description but my prices are a lot better than him. He has 350 feedbacks.

I would like to know why is he selling more than me? Should I buy an account with a lot of feedbacks?

The feedback COULD have something to do with buyer confidence, BUT I have a theory (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that listings from new sellers have automatic visibility restriction. Basically, if you're new, they may limit the visibility of your ad to buyers. Again, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also sometimes, you can find a similar product page (preferably identical) on eBay that's selling a lot, AND has feedback on the product ITSELF, not the actual seller's profile. From there, click on "SELL MYSELF" and don't change anything, but re-post it. Once you re-post it, you will have ALL the feedback he had on the product on YOUR page. THEN, wait a little bit and change the information to match your product. ;)

Welcome to the forums - Adampower, you are unlikely to find tips on this forum for selling your knockoff fitness workout dvds from chinese that are quite likely f*ke ...

Goal of the forums is not to teach this but to teach stealth account creation.

The feedback is definitely a factor - especially when it comes to items with such high counterfeit rates.

So funny that people think selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items on ebay is bad but it is alright to use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name etc to sell legit items. Is that NOT funny? Just a thought.
