Surely its not THAT difficult to figure out if its worth the money:

Do you get the stock?
Do you get suppliers, with contracts?
Do you get Paypal?
Do you get a business that is generating profit? How many years would it take to get back your money?

If you don't know **** about the category- Really think if its worth it. Its easier to buy a store that you have interest in and know some aspects about your stock, potential customer and how you should grow the business in the future.


Also, what stops him from opening a new store and making your life difficult by using same suppliers and his contact in the business?

So many questions, but all very simple and basic business 101 stuff.

Non compete agreement. Anyone that wouldn't draw up such a contract, doesn't deserve to have a business.
