listing is removed in hours?
 

Hi there
My listing was removed from eBay and according to the email I received from eBay which stated that the item I was selling was prohibited ( in *** category ) but before I started selling it I checked on ebay and 2 sellers were already selling it since last couple of years. Hence, I started selling it too with the same discription and unfortunately my listing was removed overnight (( the only difference in our listing was that he had an option to click & collect with Argos which was not in my listing)) just after couple of hours I saw one of the other seller's listing was removed too but 1 seller who is selling this item from 2 years is still selling as usual without any hassle as I checked his history . I don't understand how he is getting away for years... any clue that what he's been doing right & getting away with the eBay policies and everyone else who try to sell the same item getting trapped in eBay policies and restrictions with in few hours.

Only thing to do is clarify with eB - forget about how other sellers do it...for now - they are probably operating under the radar

If someone is selling Rolex watches....it doesn't mean your allowed or going to be allowed to do so as well.

Why are you copying someone else? Seriously, you should be making your own descriptions.

Yeah, you drew ebay's attention to both of your listings.

You really want to know why? cause he probably has a long track record of selling without issues.

People really need to stop using this as a reason to cry about their listings getting taken down.

Again, the seller has probably been selling the item for a long-ass time and is now being left alone.

MM78's point is sad but true. Ebay treats sellers differently based on how much of a risk they see a seller being to their company. With a stronger and more experienced account you would be able to sell this item no problem, most likely.

I have noticed this. I think its if it gets reported ebay take it down if not they dont. but things like ebay accounts are not aloud to be sold but some listing get taken down others dont. also they issue a number of warning even when you continue to post listings before they take any serious action.

Absolutely and I don't blame them at all. In fact (now that I have a few strong accounts) I love the way Ebay handles different accounts. :thumb:
