Probably linked via email beacon, am I screwed?
 

Hey all,

I'm running a stealth account on a VPS through Teamviewer that's been going great. I have been using the email attached to the stealth account on my normal computer and IP which has a suspended account associated with it. I only just found out about beacons and only just turned off images in Gmail.

Am I screwed? I have two different tracker blocking plugins in Chrome (Disconnect and UBlock Origin) but I don't think those block eBay or PayPal tracking.

Yes its possible. Have you been replying to amazon emails through the bad IP address?

Was that gmail blocking images or accepting?

So, I think that unfortunately the accounts (eBay & PayPal) has been flagged if you are sure that the plugins you mentioned was not untracking incoming emails.

The issue is not with Amazon but eBay & PayPal.

No, not blocking. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks, I only just started blocking the images yesterday.

I have read that Gmail doesn't allow beacons anymore (as of like 2015), only tracking to see if the email was opened.

They can only track you with bacons if you reply their email through the bad (banned) ip address. if you replied trough vpn or vps ip than its fine.

Just dont click on anything and you will probably be fine. But you should take precautions and have another account lined up in case this one does go down.

Re ip - I read a bit on this on gmail policy and;

I do not think ebay can capture ip via gmail images, all they get is gmail server ip.

if you reply via gmail then ebay gets gmail server ip on header...

so that is the theory....cookies are another matter though.

So when you check mails on phones, using phone data. Ip changes so many times everyday. Chances are many of them could be bad ones.

You never get limited or suspended doing that on your legit accounts, do you?

I think you'll be fine.
