Selling over £20,000 a month through Ebay

Hello guys,

1 Can any of you guys tell me the types of items you sell, since I always hear ebay has a high risk associated with everything.

For example;
Do you sell non branded electronics?
Furniture from a supplier
Forks from your own factory
etc

I have a tonne of items that I personally know I can sell for a huge markup *ahem*

But I'm so afraid and certain of getting banned by paypal.

The issue for me is not will the buyers come,
It's will a ban come and destroy everything I built and hold my money for eternity.

2 How long did it take you to reach £20,000 P/M in sales?
3 What did you start selling for the first 3 months to build trust with ebay?

If even one person is able to answer some of these questions then I am certain this will help a lot of new ebay sellers and give them hope.

Much love for reading this <3

£20,000 per month did I hear you say !!!
And your trying to sell that amount on a stealth account?

You haven't even said how old the account is what type of items and what type of account you have.
Without key information most of the people on this forum will probably not even entertain the question.

Sorry but I think you should be thinking a lot less in the way of monthly financial gain.

You're going to want to spread those sales over multiple accounts.

This amount can be done on amazon within a month but never on ebay on the first month , you need to create multiple stealths for that purpose

Amazon can handle high volume right away as apposed to ebay

In the USA, the ebay is not so much the problem but paypal certainly is. I can only assume similar in the UK.

As a $40K / month seller on Amazon, I can tell you right now anybody doing 20K a month in volume isn't going to be inclined to give you their business plan so that you can compete with them.

Anyway, I couldn't imagine selling 20K / month on ebay, so I have no idea what those sellers are selling. Amazon's easy, you can sell a million your first year, but I can't imagine selling 1/10th of that on ebay.

That is crazy because that is how I feel about Amazon. Amazon is HARD compared to ebay in my nitch. Not even close to 1/100Th the sales volume and 10x the problems.
A million bucks on ebay is nothing.
Every category is unique.

Well the thing about ebay is you have to create your own listings to get sales.

On Amazon you can add an offer to an existing listing for GUARANTEED (almost) sales. Any product I purchase is 99% sure to sell. Sales rank gives you an estimate of how many units sell per day/week/month and you can plan accordingly.

Also if you're selling on ebay you need to ship your own orders. Amazon ships all your orders for you so that eliminates the majority of the actual work.

I would NEVER try to introduce a new product to Amazon. If there isn't a good sales rank for an item then I'm not interested. I'm willing to compete pretty aggressively on price too. If there's 1 or 2 other sellers on a listing I'm willing to price match and split the sales, if it's more than that I'll run down the price until some sellers back off. Demonstrating that you're willing to run down the price to break even goes a long way to getting people off the listings.

On ebay these kinds of tactics don't really work that well. It's 2 totally different marketplaces and you need to use different strategies to be successful on each.
