tidying up accounts got an age old account
 

Got a OLD account with no selling limits a good 15+ years old been pretty bulletproof compared to other accounts that has been suspended for far less.
I been selling little here and there lately on it BUT I had to swap laptops and my other accounts i been getting hit with the confirm your account , Eb check is not a big deal .. PP is what worries me . On this OLD account the phone number is been long dead and gone
So i been hesitant to withdrawing funds as this often triggers the security check
and without the phone to verify things depending on the phone app is worrisome .. I read you can add a phone number to pp and after 60 days it will become a default number that CAN be used to verify account . Anyone confirm this ? I worry adding a new number will trigger some other security check . Anyone with experience related ? thanks :)

Just add a new number and still keep the other one there for longer. Just adding a number wont cause any problems

Whilst no selling limits show up now, once you hit a certain threshold they will appear. The concept of infinite selling on ebay has since been banished completely.

and a gv number gets the not in your name deal? now ? i used it without issue in the past for pp creation

i want a number that i will have forever but hate to pay a monthly bill is there a cheaper route simular to GV

I was in same situation, bringing a 16 year old account back to life. I changed both my phone number and email with no problems at all.

As for selling limits... They told me I had no selling limit, too. I got the same replies here, but have yet to hit a limit. But the aged account is going very well... I now have even better placement than before, and now have 100% of my items sell in 30 days.

Not only that... But in reference to your paypal... I added a new paypal to my old account with no holds or problems. I believe when an account is this old, they expect some changes to be made. Especially to your contact info.

yea pp is my only real problem I just gotta add a new number to it so if hit with the verify checkpoint i can ... Was told i can add a new number and after 60 days the new number will become one of the default numbers that can be used
