Do Ebay throttle new accounts too?

I have 2 ebay stealth accounts, both of them are new.

Stealth account #1: Listed item and it's on first page majority of the time

Stealth account #2: Listed different item and it's on 2nd/3rd page at best.

Why is that? Both accounts are practically the same in terms of status. Does delivery time play a role(I put 2nd class post in #2)?

I don't understand. It's incredibly frustrating because I have 2 other big accounts which have been throttled completely(hardly making any sales) and I thought adding new accounts might help.

Any clues? Been researching for the past week all day and night(keywords, description, changing delivery time, adding sub-title etc). but no big changes..

Thanks!

It will all be down to the enigma that is cassini

Delivery time
Price
Picture quality / number of pictures
How the account is made

As well as many other things play a factor. Its just a case of playing around until you get better results. Offering free tracked shipping tends to make the fastest difference on an account in my experience

****. I changed my free shipping to the longest one, in order to not get dinged on late shipments. You're saying that's hurting my rank? blah!

I don't even try to understand it anymore.

Spread sales across accounts.

Average everything out including risk and reward.

The creators don't even understand Cassini themselves.

And don't over analyse everything like I used to do.

It will send you crazy.

It absolutely is, but it's worth it IMO. Getting a bunch of late shipments and going below standard as a result would have much more of a negative impact, you know? Better safe than sorry.

Does the late delivery rate affect your account status/list rankings? I thought it doesn't have any effect.

Well, ebay say that but they wouldn't be measuring it for no reason I suppose

Don't worry about it too much. Provide the best service for your clients and everything will be ok.

It has a direct impact. When Ebay implemented their new metrics this year late delivery became one of the determining factors for being Top Rated. If your late delivery metric goes above 3% you lose Top Rated status, which decreases visibility and the overall strength of your account. I had to change several of my listings to a slower shipping method to avoid going above 3% back when they implemented these changes...

If all things are great, NEW accounts will have very little throttling with ending soonest being very important.

The moment an account starts collecting 30K a month, throttling is much more noticeable.

I can barely get above 10k.
