can eb/pp see ip or other info when communicating

When using outlets like facebook twitter and other sites that eb/pp communicate with members on .. Can they see ip used or any other info as far as user accounts go? if discussing "sueS" account do i need to be under sues user account and using a clean ip orrr it matter?

I do not see how ebay could see an ip on facebook unless you clicked on an ebay link...think about it, it makes no sense....
