I made a new video with better lighting a few days ago. Check out the 6 square foot shipping department. Uline's 36" kraft paper rolls are awesome for shipping just about anything.

Your warehouse organization is based on the Lean Startup book? Is that what you're trying to show off here? Great videos by the way. It's always interesting to see how other people work their business.

No, it is based on the Toyota Production System but more specifically the book 2 Second Lean by Paul Akers. One of the core pillars keeping lean sustainable is to make and share videos showing your improvements. So yes, I am showing off but it's a requirement :P

On a scale from 1-100 my warehouse is a 1, Fastcap is a 3, and Toyota is a 99.

I'm pretty sure they have pretty much everyone beat by a couple of light years. I just cancelled all my remaining FBM listings, but when I did FBM it took like 5 - 10 minutes to process an order. Had to go print the packing slip, print a shipping label, then go find the item and get it ready. And the worst part is I actually had to ship stuff on a regular basis since I can't tell the customer oh I don't feel like shipping this week, I'll get you next week.

I would say on average every box I ship to FBA has 30 or 40 items, so I'm basically processing 30 or 40 orders at a time when I ship stuff. Whereas a self fulfilled merchant might be able to process 100 - 200 orders a day, I can ship 5000 items in 1 day, then sip mojitos down in the bahamas for the rest of the month while the money rolls in, lol.

Unfortunately for your business, outside fulfillment isn't really an option for you since you're dealing with a bunch of random 1 off items. 3rd party fulfillment is only good when you're sending in entire cases of the same item.
