Will re-formatting my computer make it safe for new stealth?

My business has rapidly grown to the point where I need to give up my trusted eBay Mobile App, and replace it with a computer and the Auctiva software to list faster. (The ability to save and archive listings will help a lot).

Do I need to go buy a new computer... Or will wiping my old Mac back to factory new be safe? I used my old (now limited) limited account on that computer in the past.

My Mac is kind of out of date anyway, but would be nice to get up and running to play with Auctiva today. I know I will need a new ISP or hide my IP in addition. Probably new ISP... I don't want to keep any logs

A new user account on your Mac should suffice (except if you installed ebay software i.e. Turbolister, where a factory reset would be best option. A fresh factory reset would be the best/safest option either way.

ISP - why do you need a new ISP? Why can't you use the same ISP you've been using so far?

wouldnt it have the same IP if I used the same router? I know I was told not to use my eBay mobile on wifi as it'd have the same IP at the router as my limited account. I don't want to use any IP generating programs, or worry about logging IPs, or worry about having too many IPs like others have been talking about

In your case, just invest in a VPN, costs 40p a day if paid upfront. In the US it's a lot cheaper. See 24vc.com

That should save you all the hassle of logging IPs etc.

If you have it backed up, go ahead and wipe it. A new user should be alright, but being thorough is always a good idea. If you've been using that ip for your stealth already, then you don't need to change now. If the account is already linked to that IP, let it ride.

A new user account and a New VPN, and if you want to sleep a little better you can throw in a different browser, but you don't really need it

Account isn't linked to new stealth, I ran my new stealth entirely off of my cell phone. Got entirely new device and network... Was going to do the same for computer. Maybe backwards to some but seems simpler to me. Plus I need an excuse to upgrade lol.
