More realistic of a reason to protect the trademark is the business aspect of merchandise like this. The XXXXXXX, like other clubs, are guided by age old rules of protocol and respect for club logos. Only full members are allowed to wear the complete three piece back patch and associated smaller patches from the club. This denotes an “earned” membership in a restricted brotherhood. It’s an insult and very disrespectful to the club community to offer for sale, counterfeit club logos or designs that infringe on the trademark logo of these clubs.

XXXXXXX and the skull logo (R) are trademarks owned by XXXXXXXX Corporation.

Motorcycle club patch. The dude just joined EBAY September 2, 2016 so I think it is a competitor worried I am scooping his sales by offering same product at lower price.

I get one of these ever once in a while. Ignore it never had one be real. If it is they would have just contacted ebay via vero program and removed it.
