Gmail is becoming harder and harder to make without giving a phone number, even when cookies cleared, fresh IP etc, plus you get phone verification requests more often now. Seems like Sunday is a very bad day to make gmail accounts :)

Mail.com/Gmx is good because no phone verification, although I had a couple of accounts blocked.

Hotmail good because of aliases

Doesnt Hotmail also request phone verification?

I've had it happen several times. Try and re-use a phone number and it wont work.

Well not by their own power....so to compensate I will strap miniature rockets on their backs.

That would give a heat signature, though.

Maybe now, my Hotmail accounts are old and was adding aliases.

Mail.com/GMX are by far the easiest to open, only snag is that you have to pay for forwarding

Yahoo not going to be very popular after this :)

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...nce-officials/

Yahoo scanned all of its users’ incoming emails on behalf of U.S. intelligence officials

Why I moved to encrypted email to begin with.

If Yahoo is doing it, so is everyone else.

Yes I have no doubt - the major IT companies like Microsoft, Apple, Google etc were complicit in sharing user data with governments until the Wikileaks revelations which exposed mass surveillance.
