what to sell to build feedback

to quickly get feedback, obviously 1p auctions are a no no, i have a few sim cards and other rubbish to sell, any other suggestions of items easy to buy and resell for not much outlay

$100 fandango claim codes, they sell for $50-60 on ebay. I have a few extra left over.

ebaykilla 05-04-2009 07:49 AM

why do you care about feedback?? it is the most overrated concept going on ebay.

gurusgrafx 05-04-2009 07:51 AM

^^^^^ I agree. I lose an account with 200 feedback come on same day with a different one with 0 and do just as well.

lakeman 05-04-2009 07:51 AM

I've always been crazy about feedback to, until I found this forum. I now realize I sell just fine with little or no feedback.

dburnside 05-04-2009 12:02 PM

correct me if im wrong but sellers are ranked by seller ratings and feedback scores, therefore someone getting 4.9 in ratings will be in the first page someone with 4.0 will be on the 10th page etc, therefore good feedback will mean you get alot more sales?

gurusgrafx 05-04-2009 12:14 PM

someone with a 4.0 wont even be on ebay any more...

NO the feedback does count but its the DSR that gets you on the first page

OK so feedback isn't important if you sell auction style but it does come in handy if you sell multiple 1 / 5 day BIN items.

Guys just take it easy on the feedback and it will roll in eventually.

I know most of us want to get back selling at the same level before the violations.

So I get stuff from a supplier like 50-100 items for cheap and of course its hot on ebay and I sell it so fast that I get the feedback i need fast. I sell those items only on my new accounts to build feedback.

Please don't ask or PM!

dburnside 05-05-2009 04:01 AM

yes i was indeed talking about dsr which does impact bin items which is what i sold before, suppose i could fantastic deals to get my dsr up then back to normal price when im at top page again

NO ID 05-05-2009 07:31 AM

Yes fantastic deals plus excellent customer service always gets you there - not to mention fast free shipping.

I get my account up to 5 f/b straight away for buy it now then I dont sweat it.

sell household stuff you dont want, or buy cheap (non vero) popular stuff at local store and sell at slight loss.

feedback is not that important in my experience

northpeak 05-05-2009 03:40 PM

For those of you who say fb is not that important.

Do you use paypal to receive payments or do you have another source?

SteveO 05-05-2009 03:42 PM

I like to use BIN and Quantity options also I like having that first star. I think having some feedback versus non is obviously going to help move product.

That being said, I compiled a list of BIN, Private auction seller with cheap items, that gets me my first five for like $10. Collector cards so it looks legite.

Than I sell BIN, private auction items that have a hardcoded price around $10, I sell for 9, take the hit for fees, ships for .50c. That gets me another 10, as a seller with guaranteed positive feedback. Takes about a week. But you could do 10 at a time.

When they get hot I retire them, as backups, use them for testing, battling competitors, probing, etc.
