Definitive Answer - Best way to try avoid negative FB after refund

This has been asked before but no one has given any definitive answer for the best way.

I have a buyer in Italy (worst postal service in the world along with France and Brazil imo) who didn't get their item. It's 'misplaced' I assume by the Italian postal system.

He's sent me a few "if I don't get the item in a week, I'll give you negative feedback" emails. I'm not going to send good money after bad so I decided just to refund him in advance and cross my fingers, rather than he start a dispute and negative me at once.

I know he can now negative me, the question is, how to get it erased.

The common practice is to 'resolve a problem' as ebay is now putting it, and they give you a bunch of choices for "I sold an item and haven't been paid" when paypal syncs and the item is displaying as unpaid in ebay.

As far as I know, if you choose "The buyer has not responded" or "The buyer's payment has not been received".. it makes no difference.

As long as the buyer doesn't leave a message in connection with this dispute, after 7 days you can get your FVF back. The part about the negative disappearing is then where I'm not 100% sure.. whether it just goes automatically, or you have to contact ebay.. hopefully someone can fill in this gap for me.

Thanks!

Have you actually tried that? Buyers always respond and rage about getting an unpaid strike, even though unpaid strikes don't do anything anymore since May 2009.

I'd also put other or the "unconfirmed address" option.

No point worrying bout them raging if they've already given you a negative.

It's just a strategy to get rid of your negative. I've only had about 5 negatives and 5500 positives.. I just don't like having any at all!

Juicyas, do you still give em a strike even if they negger responded?

How do you deal with phico buyers?

I sold this tees shirt to one.
In my description I provided all the measurements.

This person did not read it- obviously.

She got the shirt and it did not fit her (too small)
So instead of asking for refund up on return (which I do unlike most sellers in this situations)
She writes me a letter full of horrible language.

I tell her to stop calling me names and return the shirt I will refund her.
She responds with another letter full of foul language.

I tell her again to return the shirt and written her little that I will report her.

She sends me the shirt back (thank god) in good condition, but includes another hand written note full of language.

I issue a refund.
Bit I know horrible feedback is coming.

Is anything can be done?
Would that be any good to report her? Or I will just waste my time?

Can I block her from bidding to all my accounts?
Is there any way?

yes, block her obviously.

you can send emails to ebay but they are unlikely to take neg comments down, unless defamatory.

Hope that she uses foul language in the negative feedback so ebay will remove it.
