It all depends on the proportion of postive to non positive fb - so they say. Ebay will not tell us the formula because they say they dont want people to "game" the system. Teehee!

If you are talking about SNP (seller non performance) whereby they will suspend you because they think youve been a naughty seller its a combination of neuts/negs with other things like Paypal disputes/claims are taken against your "positive" feedback and DSRs.

If you are a low volume seller with few transactions then the few negs/neuts will obviously be a higher proportion than if you were a jiffy bag stuffer with thousands of transactions a week. They say they also take other factors into account such as your length of time trading, general record etc.

I would take this claim with a bag of salt however. Last year there were excellent sellers with good DSRs and many years on eBay who fell foul of the SNP policy because of a few negs or neuts that came together. They got suspended for 30 days. Some had to lay off staff. One of the ebay managers (Richard the then head of T&S) contemptuously referred to them as "dolphins" (because dolphins sometimes get caught in the nets along with tuna).

Many people will never forgive or forget that.
