what cheap product is good just for feedback?

Hello, can anybody advice of a cheap product i can get and sell on ebay just to get feedback. it does not matter if I only break-even or lose a little.

Thanks.

Lyda 11-20-2009 02:40 AM

You can be building feeedbak by buying stuff too. Maybe things you'd get anyway... coffee?

choice 11-21-2009 08:22 AM

i buy boost mobile sim card $5 starter kits, to phone verify ebay accounts (sigh), and coupons

jbluntz 11-21-2009 11:18 AM

I got bought over 100 ebooks over the weekend it took about a week before I recieved all the feedback and cost me about $40, another thing I did was order a ton of those ipod, iphone accesories for under $1 ea with free shipping. My mailbox was jampacked full of miny padded envelopes from hong kong for weeks.

This is better.

Me I tend to buy around 6-7 ebooks..just for the 1 day listings. If you want to get rid of the 21 hold quickly just sell some cheap items or keep selling on the account. i use sell 100 ebooks in 1 day then get the feedbacks next day no 21 day hold, but I got tired of losing the accounts after 3 weeks so I stopped!

jbluntz 11-22-2009 04:27 AM

Yeah well that was my real account about 2 years old. But even on new accounts I usually try buy at least 10 ebooks.

Lyda 11-22-2009 07:12 AM

Buying ebooks on new accounts for feedback is playing with fire.

inleague2003 11-22-2009 09:43 AM

I get a catalog every month called Wholesale Source that has alot of cheap items from the USA to resell. The catalog is free.....Another thing that seems to sell is ticket stubs from concerts and sporting events. If you go to a concert or sporting event save the stub and put it on Ebay. For some reason people go nuts over that stuff and it doesn't cost you a thing....Another thing that takes a little time is go to auctions and bye the dollar box lots. There is a bunch of useless junk in the box that people go crazy over. You can spend 10 bucks and have a living room full of the crap to resell.

jbluntz 11-22-2009 12:15 PM

I don't know why you say that, I've done it plenty of times without any problems.

userstealth 11-22-2009 01:39 PM

Thanks for all the responses. I really appreciate it.

About buying ebooks, I ve also bought ebooks like crazy and for some reason after 2 or 3 weeks my account got suspended.

Once, i sold ebooks like crazy as well. like 100 in a week. After a week a received 50 something feedbacks, but a couple of days later all of a sudden i check my account and about 30 feedbacks had been deleted, they just disappeared. How? I have no idea.

So i stopped selling ebooks.

I guess buying a couple of them is not a big deal. neither selling a couple.

thanks!

oompaloompa 11-22-2009 02:17 PM

^^ exactly a couple is fine, then, anything you dont need at home, for 99c, they will sell..to some cheapskate

casual92king 11-22-2009 03:47 PM

i had this same question a few weeks ago.. i bought about 30 ps2 games from blockbuster video at 50p each second hand.. then they sell for a pound or maybe a dollar in usa.. i got my 20 dsr within a week and in the long run i made a little money and dint lose it.. hope this helps

ffs, start paying attention to what senior users here say. It is a known fact that selling ebooks has caused accounts to get suspended for feedback manipulation. So because this is a forum to encourage users to have accounts last & not get suspended, wtf is the point of recommending 'buy ebooks it's cool'
Just because YOU do it, it ain't necessarily going to work for a NEWBIE. Ergo,
we offer OTHER BETTER methods. :peace:

boondoggle 11-23-2009 02:26 AM

The trick is to have plenty of accounts in back up and to know how to create them quickly and easily- then you can trial and error and learn how to do it relatively safely, but if you are just starting out and you would be damaged if the account went down then don't bother.

kuntrykok 11-23-2009 05:24 PM

check out liquidation.com for lots of cheap electronic accessories. Found some usb external dvd drives and hubs, etc 100 for like $50.00. New in packaging.

jbluntz 11-23-2009 05:34 PM

Just use ebay's advanced search, pick a category and look for items under a buck with free shipping.

birti 11-24-2009 08:44 PM

Thanks everyone ! I really didn't know that eBooks could cause so much trouble for an account.

I watch people sell them and get Tons of feedback, then they seem to disappear. I guess thats why !

moelebkr 11-24-2009 10:02 PM

the best way is to buy iphone or ipod screen protectors.

jbluntz 11-25-2009 01:17 AM

I ordered a ton of those once, another thing you can do if you have a phony adress is buy coupons for a buck or less, its all just junk mail any way lol. All you really need is 10 feedback for 1 day auctions and buy it now, just buy 10 coupons for a buck ea. over the course of a few days and you should be good to go.

lakeman 11-25-2009 10:38 AM

Anything under a $1 is not good! Especially if you buy 10 of them! :faint: IF you want to keep the account, then I'd suggest you stop doing that.

oompaloompa 12-10-2009 05:13 AM

hi
got a couple of slow accounts that sell very high priced items, that dont always sell, but when they do its a big profit but have like 10 feedbacks each, they are a approx 6-9 mths old, so not new. If I sell say a couple of ebooks a week amongst my other product
that will bring feedback up safely?

whats the deal on buying an ebook with resell rights and selling it cheaper on SAME account that you bought it on, is it ok to do that or better to do it on another account?

also I intend to send ebook by email, but in ad youve got to say by cd - do people complain much when they dont get a cd??

NotGoodEnuff 12-14-2009 10:32 PM

How about 1 or 2 auction templates? There are some out there that are $.99. I even saw one guy state in his listing that you didn't want to pay for the auction, let them know and he would still give + fb.

captainjack1980 12-15-2009 08:25 AM

lol that would definately qualify as feedback manipulation if reported/detected!

CaptainJack

NotGoodEnuff 12-16-2009 12:29 PM

I thought it was way too bold. But, crazy people do crazy things.

userstealth 12-23-2009 07:36 PM

i want to add that i only bought a cheap product i think it was stickers and sent the seller a message saying i did not need the stickers anymore and that i would like to receieve my feedback for a quick payment.

next day i got an alert from ebay because the seller reported me.

he had powerseller status.

so now you know.

deal with low feedback sellers i guess.

GreenBean 12-23-2009 08:40 PM

^^^:nono: :faint: bad move. Just pretend you do want everything and earn the FB . Is the account OK? :peace:

jbluntz 12-23-2009 11:39 PM

Userstealth, you should have just let him send it to your stealth adress. That's what I did, I ordered some coupons for a buck each and just let him ship it to the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address and that was a month ago everything worked out.

First Edition 12-25-2009 08:20 PM

Most sellers automatically leave feedback after a payment is made.

moloko 12-30-2009 04:42 AM

I have one method, dont know if it works 100%, but I want to share and get suggestions.

- List item for 1.99$ buy it now price with offer option, that buyer can offer the lowest price. And in the listening state that I accept any offer, but in the nice way. Watched one person build 300 feedbacks very fast.

RazvanDK 01-17-2010 07:32 AM

I recently bought some BMW stickers, some nokia 3.5 jack adapters, some iphone soft cases, all 1-2 dollars.I think its a good way to kickstart a selling account.

kingfish900 01-17-2010 08:22 AM

im sure this is going to be controversial, much like every single post i seem to make is, so why change things now lol. buy poppy seeds in bulk, or papaver somniferum seeds. they have various strains of all sorts, ranging from turkish strains, gigantium, chicken and hens, their are tons. they are very cheap, and the great thing about them is that because of scarcity they sell like crazy. people seriously buy these things up. i have sold these on numerous accounts, tons of accounts to build feedback. not only do i make good profit selling them in bulk but its a really good feedback builder. the seeds themselves are not illegal to sell, at least in the U.S. jurisdiction, however you cannot grow the plant. its a pointless item from a use standpoint unless your a gardner. but their in demand and sell great for such a small cheap item. because their are so few people selling them, and the plants are illegal, this of course creates great demand for the seeds themselves.

First Edition 01-17-2010 10:07 AM

You can also buy things you will need anyway. I buy supplies such as padded envelopes, toner, motorcycle pats, etc... I ask the seller to ship to a real address, explaining that I'm moving and I need it shipped to my wife's house. I try to avoid using the eBay messages for this, but rather email them directly, and before I buy. Some sellers will only ship to the paypal account address, so be careful.

This way you're not wasting money, and the items you buy don't look suspicious. That's great if you buy a bunch of junk, but you also need to be careful when the seller ships the items. If it gets returned to him because of a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address you used, that can get dirty. Although, if you use a real persons address and buy 20 dollars worth of trinkets and otherwise worthless junk, you just wasted 20 dollars. That stuff adds up quick.

kingfish900 01-17-2010 08:07 PM

like i said, poppy seeds. their a hot item, people buy them up. their cheap. and can be bought in bulk and are easy to re sell for a small profit. the more you buy more profit youll make. if you want to get really crazy you could grow 1 plant, get about 1,000- 2,000 seeds from it, and literally sell them off in quanities of 100 for 5-10 bucks and make 50-100 bucks on one little flower. their not a suspicious item, their perfectly legal and normal. poppys seeds are used for all sorts of cooking.

Phyllip J Fry 04-07-2010 08:47 AM

I buy stamps. They are cheap (1.25 - 1.50). I can then resell them for a little less than i paid, it gets me both buyer and seller feedback. If the stamp costs me 1.50, i sell it for 1.00, so it costs me .50 for 2 (1 buyer and 1 seller) feedback. Since it is a tangible item, I do not think that it can be seen as feedback manipulation.

boondoggle 04-07-2010 09:07 AM

Doesnt matter if its tangible, it can still be deemed manipulation. If a human looks at your account and figures that's what you're selling them for then it good be a problem, but if your dealing with items over a dollar then its very unlikely you'll get chopped for manipulation, just stay away from the digital and 1 cent crap and use your head don't list a hundred $1 stamps when you've got 2 feedback- that's asking for trouble.

First Edition 04-07-2010 11:28 AM

Yes exactly. It's only manipulation if some says it is. Ebay employee pushes a button, and bam, you're whatever they say you are. guilty until proven innocent.

cardfelon 04-07-2010 09:04 PM

I buy cheap stuff at my local thrift shop. I normally make a little Money after everything is said and done. Plus the thrift shop I buy from supports local shelters so it works good for everybody

Phyllip J Fry 04-08-2010 07:53 AM

I agree, but at least with the stamps, it is not a digital item. Also, ebay can verify that the items are being delivered to me. I use an address that I can get the items from. I then hold onto them for a few weeks or month, then list that stamp. So in the end, I buy a stamp, get the buyer feedback. Purchase other items/sell other items, hold the stamp for a month, then sell it (usually at a lost). I make sure that i purchase and sell the stamp for over 1.00. It usually equals out to .25 per feedback. I think that as long as I do not buy and sell 100 for less than 1.00, and it is done in conjunction with other items, ebay should not care.

First Edition 04-08-2010 09:12 AM

Back in the day I sold "genuine classic American Liberty Bell stamps" for 1 dollar a piece. I didn't put much of a description in the listing, and I would send instructions for how to remove the used stamp from the envelope I sent people. I got great feedback, but it wasn't worth the time.. and I couldn't prove the tracking....
