Selling Digital, Non-EBook Items?

Can you sell digital items for the purpose of getting feedback and have it not be risky? I know eBooks cause problems, but what if you had a site with a forum and would sell subscriptions to that or domain names? They would be something you wouldn't have to physically ship, or is that the main reason why eBooks are risky?

Digitial goods are always risky, no matter what.

You perferably need something that you can ship and quote a shipment number
