They can bugger you up. All you need is 2 or 3 idiots, and believe me there are loads out there. | i dont understand how some people, first i ship everything as fast as possible,if you order in the pm,it will be at the post office shortly after waiting to leave! i dont charge anything for shipping, most my items will get there in 1-4 days, and one my accounts for shipping charge i have a 4.6..its mind boggling i swear, how can i get a 4.6 for shipping charge when everything is free and i have all positive feedback, alot of buyers are freakin idiots |
| NotGoodEnuff | 04-10-2010 08:04 AM | I don't think alot of the buyers really pay attention to the DSR's and then just click on 3 or 4. Since I have started adding a note about DSRs, mine have gone up. I ship that day or the next. And my shipping is actual. Not much more I can do to make my buyers happy except to exceed their expectations. |
Some buyers are idiots and do not understand how leaving a negative comment can affect a seller.
I listed a Tennis racket and stated in the title and main description "the racket has one broken string, please make sure you understand this before bidding. Please take a look at the pictures"
The buyer won the racket for £2.89 and got FREE postage.
The buyer then leaves me a NEGATIVE comment. "Nice racket, however a string is broken"
Some of them are just idiots and this can cause issues for a small seller. |
I accidently sent a guy, a wrong but similar item, he didn't mind but left me a neutral and got hit with DSRs.
I simply emailed him and explained the effect that this can have on my account. He was very apologetic and was more than happy to revise the feedback. I sent him the new item for free.
Does anyone know if DSRs can be revised? |

They can bugger you up. All you need is 2 or 3 idiots, and believe me there are loads out there. | I've had it quite the opposite. I rarely get complaints from international buyers when they realize the item is not what they expected. It's the Americans that don't realize when they get a hard to find item at a great price. |
As far as I know you can send a "feedback amendment" form where the feedback can be changed including the DSR ratings.
I have never used this, if anyone can confirm that would be good. I think the form is 5 uses in every 1000 feedback. |
so you think the vistacards are a good idea and would you put your address on them? |
| cardfelon | 04-15-2010 06:36 PM | No need to put your name or address on them. That way you can use them on multiple stealth accounts and not have to buy new ones if your account goes down |

"If you are happy with our products and services we would appreciate your positive feedback and DSR (Detailed Seller Rating) as it will help us to continue providing premier customer service in this highly competitive market! We will do the same for you!"
what do you think? |
But you are not telling them that 3 is damaging. |
| GreenBean | 04-20-2010 05:53 PM | @lucy, buyers are too dopey to understand what DSRs mean.;)
Sounds like begging & that is going to annoy people |
I'd rather educate than let some idiot ruin my business, it can be worded politely and informatively. |

Sounds like begging & that is going to annoy people | greenbean, i think you are right, but other sellers include a note or card, what if it was just a card with your ebay name and a simple note saying thanks for your purchase, enjoy...............etc |

Anything less and it's like receiving a neutral or negative only this will affect you financially. Some people receive a different feedback form and on that form you need to get an outstanding 10 for full marks. |
| First Edition | 05-08-2010 09:16 AM | I'm sure ebay will change eventually... but I really think their motivation, like any business, is money. |
| SlickJane | 05-10-2010 10:33 PM | I think mentioning anything about fraud or how it will hurt you if they leave less that 5 stars is very unprofessional. I don't think soliciting for feedback or ratings is a good idea. I like the Vistaprint card idea, but only as a tool to please the customer- Thank you for your business, blah blah blah.
Personally, I offer free shipping (usually) and I ship same day, and I always package the product as professionally as possible am available by email immediately, etc. My DSRs are very high, and all of my accounts have 100% positive feedback, including my powerseller account. I try to just offer superior customer service, and if that compels someone to rate me, then great. |
| GreenBean | 05-10-2010 10:38 PM | BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well put Slick:thumb:
It's what gets done from go to whoa that counts, imo. For me, the return buyers that confirm this:yar: |
| NotGoodEnuff | 05-11-2010 07:31 AM | With my account, I have just a few $$ above actual postage. My products are set slightly higher than my competitors. I put a sticker on my invoices -
Ebay considers anything less than 5 stars as poor performance on the seller's part. This can result in higher fees for the seller, as well as low search ratings and being banned from Ebay. However, Ebay gives the buyer the impression that any rating is fine for the seller. We work hard to earn 5 stars with every transaction. If you are happy with this transaction, please let Ebay and other buyers know by leaving 5 stars and positive feedback.
Thank you!
My DSR's are 4.8 & 4.9. Sales are through the roof! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:49 AM. | |
