We all have to start somewhere…but I’m still weary and will not sell an expensive item to someone with no history. Anything else, I sometimes use a faster delivery method that’s tracked even if I normally use a cheaper service for such said item to other buyers with feedback.
A friend recently sold a games console. The buyer with 0 feedback claimed console was not in the box when delivered. Returned the box with accessories without the console and got a refund. Luckily, eBay investgated and concluded the buyer was dodgy so gave my friend his money back and banned the buyer. That was only possible because he used Special Delivery, kept receipts showing weight when posted, contacted the Royalmail that confirmed the parcel would not be tampered with using that particular premium delivery service.
So yes, I won’t usually trust 0 feedback buyers. I’ll still sell to them with some exceptions and precautions.
I do not trust them, not because of their honesty, but because they do not know eBays policies and can be problematic, like opening a return request because one screw is missing, instead of messaging and asking for one to be sent out. In an auction they are the ones who do not pay at the end.
