For those of you that send out feedback reminders...

Not going to debate if they are good or bad or how to write them up. But I just want to advise you to not send them out too early. The last few days I have received 7 emails "are you happy?" or "please leave feedback" or "feedback is important"... ETC

I haven't received any of these items yet. Its not proactive. Asking a buyer if they are happy or to leave feedback before they even get the item is a bad bad idea. I found it annoying and all it did was remind me items haven't arrived yet.

Two of these reminders were one week after purchase, from another country. No idea what in the world these sellers are thinking asking for feedback that soon.

Its one thing when you have tracking and know its delivered. But don't gamble at two weeks or whatever time frame with low and slow shipping they have it. Annoy the wrong buyer and it will bite you on the ass

If you don't have feedback in two weeks it doesn't mean buyer forgot to leave feedback. They might not have item yet....

**Just my two cents - Take it with a grain of salt

Asked for feedback, buyer left negative, buyer said "seller asked for feedback to many times" lol

I don't even bother asking for feedback.

If they are happy with the item then its up to them..

Are you aware eBay now states in their current rules & regs, you cannot and should not ask or solicit feedback,it's against new rules..
Just sayin....

If I checked your profile & see that you've often left feedback for others, then I would leave you alone & trust & assume you'll leave it.

However, I sometimes quickly check the buyer's profile (normally the ones with 0-30) and I'll look at their "Feedback left for others". Recently I've noticed some people have NEVER ever left feedback before, despite having bought tons of items already. That's when I kindly message them & ask them to leave it after they receive their item.

Either way, I've recently been putting a small piece of paper in each package to remind & ask them for feedback.

I care a LOT about feedback at the moment since I'm taking a little bit of a loss to sell these things quick & cheap for establishing feedback on my new accounts. Once I get to 20, I won't be as bothered. And especially once I get to 100 feedbacks, I won't care.

@mcmxcivjm, Sending a note is always a good idea, usually best not to ask for feedback after but the note thing is good. I do it for every item I ship out and I leave it at that.

ebay says many things, quite a few that get disregarded.

Did you know ebay says you can not have an account if suspended.

That gets treated with the contempt it deserves.
:pound:

Idea is not to overtly beg for feedback. Majority of my buyers respond favourably to getting notes. Most prefer the communication as being part of the whole buying experience.

:peace:
