Question Start Selling With 0 Feedback, Does It Safe?

My ebay account is about 40 days old, but the feedback still 0.

Is it safe for me to start selling with zero feedback?

Everyone has to start somewhere.

You could start by buying a couple of things first but that doesnt really gain you much credability in terms of selling on the account.

Start of slow sell maybe one or two items (non vero) wait till you get feedback then list more.

Go SLOW. :D

I've opened ebay business accounts and sold on the same day. Sometimes i get id verify emails. Which is fine because like to get that out of the way. After that everything is usually cool. I wouldn't sell a dozen iphones with zero feedback but small things should be good. I guess it depends on how easy it is for you to make accounts.

I don't buy anything, I start selling with 0 feedback, after I add card to verify account, I let it sit for 1-2 weeks, then start listing no more than 2-5 items on each account PER MONTH, I find that purchasing items for feedback doesn't help at all.

It's safe for me, I used to get 20 feedback first and let it age a month or so but now I just list something like a dvd or vhs movie when the accounts 1 day to a few days old with 0 fb and after that sells your usually clear of mc010 then I list my usual stuff and that still works for me and that's without a bank also.

List a couple household items hours apart day one.

Wait for a few days and list a few more household items.

If you do not have anything laying around the house to sell head over to a thrift store and pick up a few things to get started.

I think you are safe to list some non risky items if you go slow and build it up.

After you do this on several accounts you can start the process all over again on new ones.

Everyone has their opinion on what works. Its different by what you sell, how fast you ship it out to them, all that stuff. I started listing from the 1st hour I had my account and had powerseller status super fast. I also got preferred seller status within a month or two. I probably listed 10items per day from the 1st day. Have only went up from there. I did this so it must work. I think you should just do what you want EXCEPT VERO items and see what happens. I think if you just look like a normal seller then you will be fine.

Listing a couple items a month seems worthless, if a business opens a business account they arent waiting that long to get going. they want to list NOW.

I agree with you on this.

If you are in business and have a business account you should be smart enough to operate your business and should be able to learn how to market your product quickly or you would not be in business.

I have always been a slow listing person and let it build and you have just made me think otherwise under certain circumstances such as products, date your business started ( this you fill out on pp ) etc.

Good info King!

You definitely can, one has to start , right?
But you need to build up your account in a nice way , selling items and no harm in doing some buying as well.
Then, go slow, but not very slow , that depends if you have limits or not. Then, top that with very good customer service replying to your customers, making them happy and informed is a key to success. That is my own experience and it never failed me so far
Best of Luck

The trick is getting passed the 1st item to be sold on your seller account and everything else from there is balling!
