Default feedback extortion what do I do Please help

Long story short...... I sold an Iphone case to a buyer now he is not happy with the purchase and say that the item is bad or ⊗⊗⊗⊗.... he want me to give him a full refund and let him keep the item. I clearly stated in my return policy that if the buyer is not happy for any reason I will accept returns and give a full refunds but this guy seems to want to get a free item. In every single email he sent me he is telling me that he will not left negative feedback if I refunded him and let him keep the item. How do I report this to ebay? How are my chances of wining. My account is a real account so there is no problem on ebay looking at it. This is the first time I encounter this kind of people. Please I need your advice.

He wins!

Well are you selling genuine apple and authorized to do so or not?

whether the item is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or not he has to return the item. Why would one want to keep a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ item? Beats me! Report him to ebay indicating your items are genuine and you have receipts to validate this and send a note to the buyer clearly indicating your returns policy

1. He does not have to return an item that was sold as genuine but is in fact ⊗⊗⊗⊗
2. Have you offered to pay the return postage for him?

If 2 is true then perhaps he is trying to get a free iPhone case and his money back. BUT why is that any different to someone selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods and being aware they are ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

It is almost like getting played at your own game!

Hello

Thank you for all your advice. Yes the item is genuine but I have no receipts. I bought this at a garage sale. I have offed full refund and that's include the postage also. Do I bother contacting ebay or is this another lost battle?

Bow out! Take the blow, refund him and let him keep the item.

You've only lost a small amount and you are still on eBay with perfect feedback. It's par for the course really...like a dodgy chargeback here and there...all part of the long game.

I wouldn't be saying this if it was a high value item - but it's not - so it's not a fight and no point even getting into the ring

If he then leaves negative (which he says he won't) then there are a few sneaky options that I won't post on here. If he leaves a neg feedback then PM me.

It's sucks - but so does eBay/PayPal and about 8% of their users!

I agree with mattytman on this, if the item is genuine as you say, I just get suspicious when someone mentiones the word 'Iphone'.

I dont sell electronics or anything remotely very. If someone attempts to blackmail me I remind them very sternly that this is not only against eBay rules but also the law and there are still penalties.

I would also offer to Google his local newspaper and send his emails to the editor along with the story, since these little local newspapers are always looking for "human interest" stories.

No one wants their friends, neighbours, workmates and the people in their church to know they are an online shoplifter.

Don't forget to cancel the transaction to avoid FVF.

Yes, send him the refund let him keep it and cancel the transaction. SImple. IT sucks but you have to protect your account.

You have already spent too much time on this transaction. The more you deal with it the more its costing you.

How much would a new account cost you?
How much is the item worth?
The buyer is a jerk - pay him, block him and forget him

I'll be odd man out and say to report him. Except call the Safety and Trust Dept to report him by phone, not email. who knows...

You gotta hit the button that says account security, otherwise you will go in a circle. This is surely security related, this guy is threatening you.

I would remind him that feedback extortion is a policy violation that you will forgive with the benefit of the doubt that he's having a really bad day. Then I'd just ignore it and continue discussing anything else of importance that is not related to his mischief. And I'd end with another thanks for the order

.
